Ice Cream Social

On Saturday Sept. 11 from 1-3, there will be an ice cream social and fun for the kids.

Weather permitting, ice cream sundaes will be served in the storyhour garden on the east side of the library.  Rick Brammer will again be making balloon animals and Candy Moulton will be doing face-painting

                  

Teddy Bear Sleepover

Thursday Sept. 9 from 6-7

In honor of National Teddy Bear Day on Thurs. Sept. 9, 2010 from  6-7 pm, the library will host a Teddy Bear Pajama Storytime. Children of all ages are welcome to come in pajamas and bring a Teddy Bear. There will be Teddy Bear stories, a movie, and Teddy Grahams with milk.

At the end of the storytime, the Teddy Bears are invited to a sleepover at the library. Children may pick up their bears the next day and take home pics of their bear to see what fun they had during their sleepover at the library.

No registration needed.

 

 Sat. Sept. 25   American Girl Club featuring Molly.

The party will be from 11 AM to Noon and the $1 registration fee needs to be paid by Sat. Sept 18    in the Children's Room. We will be making clay marbles, recycled scratch pads, a sample victory garden, and sampling foods from the WWII time period when Molly was 11 years old.                      

  

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Thurs. Sept 30 6-7 PM

There will be a book discussion and activities about the first book.. Registration is limited to 15 so sign up early

The Wonderful   Wizard of Oz   Mon.Oct.11@10 AM

The Elsenpeter Marionettes will present the Wonderful Wizard of Oz with traditional European style puppetry. Come to the library to celebrate the 110th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz.   

 

 

 

 

 

Snakeman is Back on Thurs. Nov. 11 @ 1 PM   

 Afraid of snakes? This presentation will allay those fears!

Don’t miss Snakeman Gary Leisen. Learn everything you ever wanted to know about snakes—up close and personal. Don’t forget your camera!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nov. 20 Skippyjon Jones 11 AM-12

 Have fun with Skippyjon Jones, the Siamese Cat who thinks he is a Chihuahua. We’ll be learning a few Spanish words, making a cape, snacking on puppy chow, and reading El Skippito. Preregistration is $1 due by Sat. Nov. 13.

 

 

 

Decorate a Gingerbread House

The annual “Decorating of Gingerbread Houses” will be Thurs. Dec. 16 from 3 –7 PM. There will only be 100 houses to decorate, so reserve your house early with the $5 registration fee payable in the Children's Room,.
