PAWS to Read

The January Family Reading Program will benefit the shelter animals of our community. Come to the Children's Room and pick up a family reading log. For every hour your family reads, each child will receive a sticker to put on your family's "Paw Print." For each hour read, your family will also have the opportunity to bring in a donation for the animal shelter.

Knitting/Crocheting Classes

On Thursdays in January from 6-8 PM, there will be knitting needles clicking, crochet hooks flashing, and lots of sharing.

Whether you're a beginner or an "old pro," you're invited to add to your knowledge of yarn art. If you're a newbie, please bring size 10 knitting needles or size J crochet hook and 4 ply yarn of your choice. No registration required.

Learn about your heart during February

The Mississippi Valley Regional blood Center will sponsor a traveling display to learn all about your blood and how it works. Come anytime during February and have fun with this interactive display.

Thurs. Feb. 11 6-7 PM

This Family Activity Night will help you get ready for Valentine's Day with candy kiss "rosebuds" and a candy "wreath."

Registration of $1 is due by Feb. 4.

Mon. Feb. 15 at 10 AM

Do you know which President had an Irish Wolfhound? How about a German Shepherd? Test your knowledge of Presidential dogs and enjoy the program featuring Irish Wolfhounds and a German Shepherd.

March 2

Celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with the "Cat in the Hat." Purchase your $1 ticket in the Children's Room for either the 5 PM or 6:30 PM session. Your ticket entitles you to a cat-shaped sandwich, Meow Munchies (chips), Kitty Krunchies (veggies), Purrrrfect Punch, and Catty Cake birthday cake. Make a paper "Cat in the Hat" hat, listen to Dr. Seuss stories, and get your picture taken with the Cat.

Join Carol and learn interesting recipes for you and your child to create in your kitchen. $1 registration due by Mar. 19.

April 5-9 @ 1 PM

Enjoy a free movie and popcorn Mon. - Fri. No registration necessary.
